Interview of William Hanna “Overcoming the Zionist ogre will come at great cost to humanity”

Mohsen Abdelmoumen: What do you think about the cooling of relations between United States and Israel on background of nuclear power agreement with Iran?

William Hanna: The apparent current cooling of relations between the U.S. and Israel over a nuclear power agreement with Iran is simply a meaningless political pantomime resulting from President Obama’s irritation with Netanyahu’s affront in addressing the joint session of Congress despite Obama’s challenge to the propriety of such a visit. It should be remembered that Netanyahu’s tactic of crying wolf over Iran’s nuclear weapons is nothing new and that in 1996, he addressed a joint session of Congress to ominously warn that “If Iran were to acquire nuclear weapons, this could presage catastrophic consequences, not only for my country, and not only for the Middle East, but for all mankind . . . the deadline for attaining this goal is getting extremely close.

Almost two decades later that deadline has yet to pass and Netanyahu is still making apocalyptic predictions about an imminent Iranian nuclear weapon. You can go back even further to 1992 when then-parliamentarian Netanyahu warned the Israeli Knesset that Iran was“three to five years” away from achieving nuclear weapons capability, and that the threat had to be “uprooted by an international front headed by the U.S.

Any genuine cooling of relations between these two countries would therefore have to include the termination of U.S. aid to Israel in accordance with the 1976 amendment to the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961 which clearly bans U.S. economic/military assistance, and export credits to countries that deliver, receive, acquire, or transfer nuclear enrichment technology when they do not comply with IAEA regulations and inspections. The Glenn Amendment of 1977 also bans aid to countries that import nuclear reprocessing technology. Not only does Israel refuse to comply with IAEA regulations and inspections, but it has actually stolen nuclear technology and equipment from the U.S. In fact, recently declassified documents implicate current Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the theft of U.S. nuclear materials. So while the still AIPAC controlled Congress continues to ensure Israel receives more than $3 billion in aid every year, actual cooling of relations will remain the pipe dream of American taxpayers.

Do you think Obama administration is going to replace his strategic ally in the Middle East, Saudi Arabia, by Iran?

Even if President Obama seriously wanted to replace Saudi Arabia with Iran as a U.S. Middle East strategic ally, he would be prevented from doing so by U.S. oil interests, Investments, and Trade with the Gulf States. From 1950 to 2006, Saudi Arabia alone bought or was granted U.S. weapons, military equipment and services that were worth $79.8 billion. Almost a fifth (19%) of all American arms sales during that period went to Saudi Arabia — a proportion that underscores the importance of Saudi Arabia to the U.S. military industrial complex. Furthermore, AIPAC would lobby with ferocity against any such intention because both Israel and Saudi Arabia are strongly opposed to any policy that might enhance Iran’s influence and power in the region — hence their duplicitous mischief in Syria which is regarded as Iran’s closest ally.

Faced with Zionist offensive in the mainstream media and institutions, movements that support the just cause of the Palestinian people as BDS, Block the boat, academic boycott, etc. can they still mobilize the public?

While pro-Palestinian movements such as BDS, Block the Boat, Academic Boycott, and others are relatively recent phenomena, the mainstream media and institutions have been firmly entrenched and controlled for many decades by special interest minority groups opposed to having a well informed majority who might start thinking for themselves and consequently rebel against subjugation by the wealthy, elitist minority. When you consider that only six corporations — either owned or run by Jews —own all mainstream media in the United States, then you realise the enormity of the task facing any group or movement seeking to inform and mobilise the public against social injustice, blatant violations of human rights, and illegal, unjustified wars. The task is not impossible, but requires an organised persistence to match that of the worldwide web of Jewish lobbies and interests.

In one of your books, you describe the horrifying fate of Palestinian children, victims of Zionist barbarism with Western complicity, do you think that humanity will succeed in overcome the Zionist ogre?

Will humanity succeed in overcoming the Zionist ogre? Well, even for a brainwashed humanity there is a limit to what it will be prepared to suffer. So, just as Nazism was destroyed so will Zionism ultimately meet its doom. Unfortunately, of the two, Zionist ideology has been around much longer; has influential adherents within Jewish communities worldwide; is better organised due to the diligence of a Jewish supremacist mentality; enjoys financial assistance from sources in many countries including overly generous U.S. aid; has control of, or strong support within the bribed ranks of most Western governments; and possesses a stockpile of nuclear weapons which it would resort to using because of the fanatical insanity of its leaders.

Consequently overcoming the Zionist ogre will come at great cost to humanity — a cost which will by far exceed the human capacity to comprehend. A diligent study of Jewish leaders such as Benjamin Netanyahu will conclude that his insane fanaticism is far more dangerous than that of Adolf Hitler. The success of Israel’s existence as an enclave surrounded by Muslim Arab nations has so far been due to Arab disunity and Israel’s own efforts to divide and conquer while simultaneously portraying Islam as a terrorist religion. The prospect of Islamic unity in the face of this Zionist assault, however, could become a reality if Israel — in its determination to build the “Third Temple” — annexes Haram al-Sharif (Temple Mount). The consequences of such an annexation could certainly be catastrophic for humanity.

Can you tell us about your projects? Have you a new book in preparation?

I am currently working on a book that also deals with the Israeli/Palestinian problem but which is being written in a style and with a view to reaching a wider audience so that hopefully more people in the West will become aware of their own governments’ hypocrisy and double standards in dealing with Middle East issues.
